Joya is located in a quiet area of central Nelson. The garden studio with grass roof is a unique find in the middle of town.
It is nestled in the garden overlooking a pond and a number of other water features. The villa studio comprises a ground floor studio apartment in the tasteful, three storey heritage house. Its separate lounge area opens to a sunny, sheltered, private terrace.
Both studios are fully self-contained. An optional organic breakfast with wheat & gluten free or vegan options, can be served on the main deck of the villa. Herb and fruit gardens are for shared use.
Ameneties include a book and DVD library, laundry (washer/dryer), telephone/fax and jetstream email facilities, and off street parking. Filtered water system allows chlorine free drinking and bathing. Airport pick-up can be arranged. Award winning restaurants, galleries are a five minutes stroll away.
Garden studio:
This spacious studio with grass roof is a unique find in the middle of town. Set in the gardens of one of Nelson’s finest heritage villas, the studio has a private deck, overlooking a pond. There is a Danish logburner for those rare cool evenings. The spacious open plan studio sleeps 2-3 people with one queen and one single sofa bed (Japanese fouton).
Villa studio:
This studio is situated on the ground floor of one of Nelson’s finest heritage villas. It is spacious, colourful and light. With wooden floors, oriental rugs and tastefully furnished, you will find this studio a superb place to stay. The kitchenette is made of recycled native timbers and coloured glass panels. It is smaller than the one in the garden studio, but has all the essentials, including an electric oven and wok. The separate lounge area opens to a sunny, sheltered private terrace, overlooking the fruit and herb gardens and various water features. This studio sleeps w people with one king or two singles.
